Terms of Service

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you ("you", "User") and AICheckHub ("we", "us", "AICheckHub") regarding your use of aicheckhub.uk, our APIs, and any related features (the "Service").

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, Acceptable Use Policy, Refund Policy, and Cookie Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

  • You must be at least 13 years old (16 in the EU/UK) to use the Service.
  • If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
  • We do not knowingly serve users under the age limit.

3. Account

  • Provide a valid email and keep it current.
  • You're responsible for activity under your account. Don't share your credentials or API keys.
  • We use email-based one-time codes (OTP). Treat received codes as confidential.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy.

4. The Service

AICheckHub provides:

  • AI text detection — runs your submitted text through multiple AI-detection models and returns a probability score, per-model scores, divergence indicators, and (on Pro and above) sentence-level highlights.
  • Humanizer — rewrites AI-style text into more human-sounding text using a language model (Pro and Lifetime).
  • API — programmatic access to detection (and optionally humanizer) for developers.

We may modify, add, or remove features. Material changes affecting your paid plan will be communicated by email at least 30 days in advance, with refund options where applicable (see Refund Policy).

5. AI Detection Disclaimer

No AI detector is 100% accurate. Including ours.

AI detection is a probabilistic technology. Independent benchmarks of leading AI detectors report accuracy in the 76–88% range, with measurable rates of false positives and false negatives. We run multiple models in parallel and disclose divergence so you can judge confidence — but we make no guarantee that any score correctly identifies whether content was AI-generated.

You are responsible for any decisions you make based on detection results. We are not liable for outcomes from over-reliance on the Service, including but not limited to: academic adjudication, hiring decisions, content publication, SEO ranking decisions, or any third-party action.

6. Prohibited Uses

See our Acceptable Use Policy for the complete list. Key prohibitions:

  • Submitting content that is illegal, defamatory, or violates third-party rights.
  • Using the humanizer to deceive any person or institution with a right to know (e.g., academic fraud).
  • Scraping, reverse-engineering, or extracting our model outputs at scale for model training.
  • Misrepresenting your identity or plan status.

7. Payment and Subscriptions

Paid plans are processed via Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges. Subscription management (upgrade, downgrade, cancel, refund) is available at /account/billing. See our Refund Policy for refund eligibility windows.

8. Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of any text you submit. We claim no rights to your input text beyond what's necessary to provide the Service. Detection outputs and scores are provided "as is" for your personal use. You may not resell or redistribute detection outputs as a competing product.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES INCLUDING FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF $100 USD OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

12. Termination

Either party may terminate at any time. You may delete your account at /account. We may terminate your access for material breach of these Terms, with or without notice. Upon termination, your data will be processed per our Privacy Policy.

13. Changes to Terms

We'll notify you of material changes by email at least 30 days in advance. Continued use after the effective date means acceptance.
